From December 18 to 24, 2024, 't Zand in Bruges will once again be the beating heart of solidarity during De Warmste Week (The Warmest Week). This year, the event focuses on the fight against loneliness, a theme that touches – or should touch – us all. Did you know that one in two people in Flanders feels lonely at times? To bring those troubling statistics down, there’s work to be done – and funds are needed to drive societal change and support structural initiatives. The proceeds from De Warmste Week will go to 276 projects across Flanders, tackling loneliness in creative and meaningful ways.
Non-stop heartwarming radio and connection
It’s not just about those projects; the event itself is an invaluable way to bring people together and flood us with a wave of unity. For seven days, heartwarming radio and TV will be broadcast live from The Warmest House, where five presenters – Fien Germijns, Sander Gillis, Kawtar Ehlalouch, Joris Brys, and Maureen Vanherberghen – will be on hand day and night to inspire us with touching stories and, of course, the best songs. You can even request your favorite tune: in exchange for a generous donation, your request will be played live on air. But there’s more. For extra musical enjoyment, there will be live performances on the roof of The Warmest House. A few highlights from the impressive lineup: Portland, Pommelien Thijs, Natalia, Kids with Buns, Regi & Linda, Franz Ferdinand, Bart Peeters, Oscar & The Wolf, and more.
