Playful culture hostel
Do you love art and culture? Visit Bed Muzet, Belgium’s first culture hostel. The hostel is situated in a green oasis next to Lier’s Municipal Academy for Music, Word and Dance, in the city centre, in close proximity to the St Gummarus Church, the Zimmer Tower and the Grote Markt. You will stay in the renovated wing of a former Zwartzusters convent with a tranquil courtyard garden. The hostel is part of Lier’s arts and culture campus and offers beds to hobbyists, professionals or semi-professionals that are involved in arts and culture, whether in groups or travelling solo. Of course, backpackers, families and clubs with other interests are also more than welcome to stay at the hostel!
Musical arrangement
Are you an artist or a member of a choir, rock band or theatre club that wants to continue practising while on holiday? Bed Muzet gives you access to the academy's fully equipped infrastructure: classrooms, practice and performance spaces with music stands, pianos, dance studios, sound-proof percussion rooms and a recording studio. It’s show time!
World heritage on the Nete
Lier is small but cozy. Among visitors, this town on the river Nete is especially loved for its beautiful downtown area including the Beguinage (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and numerous historic buildings. Lier is surrounded by a green belt, fantastic for hiking enthusiasts. There are also a lot of cycling nodes in the vicinity.
