Brothers Carl & Filip were instilled with a love for the business and are now together at the helm of De Ploate. Your sleeping place is in comfortable rooms of two to six persons with private bathroom, in the heart of the city. You'll meet other travelers or families on the beach, in the lounge or in the bar. Groups can have fun in one of the multipurpose rooms - including a beach lab. The Ploate forms a unique combination of city & sea, with an eye for ecological, economic and social tourism.
Vintage splendour in the queen of seaside towns
Ostend is a historic town with a cosmopolitan, modern, and bustling side. Generations of eccentric artists have found inspiration in the city of James Ensor, which you can see immediately in the city’s cultural offering, which includes the authentically renovated Casino-Kursaal theatre complex, Mu.ZEE and the Ensor House. But you can always just head to the beach for a sunbathing session or shop till you drop in the shopping streets that are open every day, including Sundays.
