Relaxed lodging in Maldegem
Die Loyale is a real family hostel. Manager Griet grew up there and later took over management from her parents. The hostel is situated in a large area with lots of nature. There are various sports fields, a playground, ping-pong tables, a petanque pitch and spacious parking. Groups can give the performance of a lifetime on the open-air amphitheatre and follow it up with a barbecue to strengthen bonds within the group further. Inside, there are two multi-functional rooms and a lounge.
Meetjesland - a pristine, unexplored cycling paradise
Maldegem is situated in Meetjesland, a lesser-known region of East Flanders. The region offers the perfect setting for getting off the beaten track and hiking and cycling in beautiful forests, open fields and unique creeks. Het Zwin nature reserve is also within easy reach. Thanks to its central location, you can also pay a quick visit to Bruges (19 km) or Ghent (29 km). Or take a trip over the border to the Netherlands and discover the charming town of Sluis or one of the traditional eel restaurants near the border.
