Observatory

Oostduinkerke

Ever wanted to find the Big Dipper, Little Dipper, or other constellations? Or perhaps admire a planet or a star nebula up close? Head to the Koksijde Observatory on the second and third Friday evening of each month to look through the telescope and explore the stars. (Provided the sky is clear, of course!)

The observatory is located at the Duinenhuis Nature Education Center in Koksijde.
Opening hours: October to March: 8 PM to 10 PM; April and September: 9 PM to 11 PM; May and June: 10 PM to midnight. In July and August, the observatory is open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 10 PM to midnight instead of Fridays.
